The Burial Grounds
Chesham
Bois Parish Council maintains two burial grounds, a Garden of
Remembrance and a Chapel in a peaceful rural setting approached via
Bois Moor Road, Chesham.

The
Formal Burial Ground
This was opened in 1924 and subsequently extended when the council
acquired further land in 2004. Consecrated and un-consecrated plots are
available. A choice of memorials is allowed subject to prior approval
and safe fixing. Ashes may be scattered or interred.

The
Woodland Burial Ground
This was opened in 2006 where an area adjacent to the formal cemetery
has been planted with saplings of native species which will eventually
form glades in which burials can now take place using biodegradable
materials. Indigenous flora and fauna are encouraged but there will be
no visible markers. Plots will be single depth and may be reserved.

The Garden of Remembrance
The garden adjacent to the chapel and close to the car park is planted
with box and lavender and has been created for the scattering of
cremated remains. Memorial plaques may be fixed to the Wall of
Remembrance.
The Chapel
The chapel is available for services and has seating accommodation for
approximately fifty people.
